Lise öğrencilerine verilen temel yaşam desteği eğitiminin öğrencilerin bilgi ve beceri düzeylerine etkisinin değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Sağlık kuruluşu dışında gerçekleşen kalp durması olayında sağkalımı etkileyen en önemli faktör olayın gerçekleştiği yerde uygulanan temel yaşam desteği uygulamasıdır. Sağkalım oranını yükseltmek için sağlık çalışanları haricindeki kişilerin de TYD hakkında eğitmek ve uygulama becerilerini geliştirmek oldukça önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, lise öğrencilerinin TYD hakkındaki bilgi ve becerilerini eğitim öncesi ve sonrası olmak üzere değerlendirmektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda araştırma Denizli'nin Buldan ilçesinde, 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim döneminde 11. ve 12. sınıfta öğrenim gören 610 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Verilerin analizinde varyans analizi, tanımlayıcı istatistiksel metotlar ve kikare bağımsızlık testinden faydalanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgulara göre öğrencilerin eğitim öncesi ve eğitim sonrası TYD bilgi düzeylerinde anlamlı farklar tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca öğrencilerin TYD eğitimi öncesinde OED cihazını bilme durumu %34,5 civarında iken eğitim sonrasında bu oran %90 seviyesine çıkmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen bulgulardan yola çıkarak, TYD uygulamalarıyla ilgili farkındalık oluşturmak ve halkın bu konudaki bilgi ve beceri düzeyini arttırmak için sadece sağlık çalışanları değil halktan diğer bireylere de TYD eğitimi verilmesi gerekmektedir. Ayrıca TYD eğitimlerinin belirli aralıklarla tekrarlanması bilgilerin unutulmamasını sağlayacaktır.

The most important factor affecting survival in cases of cardiac arrest outside the healthcare facility is the basic life support application applied at the place where the event occurred. In order to increase the survival rate, it is very important to train non-healthcare professionals about BLS and to improve their application skills. The aim of this study is to evaluate the knowledge and skills of high school students about BLS before and after the education. For this purpose, the research was conducted with 610 students studying in the 11th and 12th grade in the Buldan district of Denizli province in the 2018-2019 academic year. Analysis of variance, descriptive statistical methods and chi-square test of independence were used to analyze the data. According to the findings of the study, significant differences were determined in the level of knowledge of TYD before and after the education. In addition, while the students' knowledge of the OED device before TYD training was around 34.5%, this rate increased to 90% after the training. Based on the findings of the study, it is necessary to provide ISS training not only to healthcare professionals but also to other individuals from the public in order to raise awareness about TYD practices and to increase the knowledge and skill level of the public on this issue. In addition, repeating the TYD trainings at regular intervals will help keep the information fresh.
