Abstract: In this paper, a fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is added to the switching of the voltage source converter (VSC) to enable the operation of the microgrid under stable conditions, with the help of the energy storage system and photovoltaic power supply and demand side power balance. The performance of the FLC was examined in different loading situations of the system and it was compared with the PI controller. In addition, the microgrid is operated in both island-mode and grid-tied mode, where normal and critical loads are supplied and voltage and frequency oscillations are quickly switched to the steady state within the allowable tolerance limits. The modeling of the microgrid is built with the MATLAB/Simulink program to reflect the behavior in the real system. © 2018 IEEE.
