Publisher: | AVES | Abstract: | Botulism is a neurological disease caused by the heat-labile toxin of Clostridium botulinum. Botulism should be kept in mind in the presence of neurological findings and suspicious food intake in patients without fever and altered mental status. In this report, an outbreak of botulism occurring with somewhat different clinical pictures in three members of the same family after consumption of a home made canned tomato sauce was presented. © 2018, AVES.
