Nomenclature and chemistry of mafic minerals such as pyroxene, amphibole, and mica within the felsic and mafic igneous components have important role in the identification of the nature of the magma. The different compositions with the different proportions of the mineral chemistry reflects their, thermobarometry, emplacement depth and tectonic setting with the relation to their Fe, Mg, Al and Ti contents. Pyroxene, amphibole and mica behavior are selected from the shoshonotic, silica saturated alkaline and silica undersaturated alkaline magma nature from the Central Anatolia, Turkey. Central Anatolia are defined as a case study area for their paper because of hosting the products of calcalkaline, tholeiitic, shoshonotic, silica saturated alkaline and silica undersaturated alkaline magmas. In accordance with these purposes, we have carried out detailed petrographic, Confocal Raman Spectroscopy (CRS), mineral chemistry (EPMA) and whole rock geochemical studies of the rocks in the Central Anatolia in order to provide a clear data set with magma character, magma nature with the depth of the depth of the emplacement within the Central Anatolia. According to the CRS studies, pyroxene minerals from silica undersatured rocks are diopsite whereas others which are within the shoshonotic rocks are generally augite in composition. Amphibole minerals are mostly actinolite in composition with Raman Shifts in 157 cm-1, 184 cm-1, 222 cm-1, 541 cm-1, 665 cm-1 and 970 cm-1. Type of the mica minerals are biotite in shoshonotic rocks whereas phlogopite in silica undersatured alkaline rocks. The Electron Prop Micro Analyses (EPMA) data from mafic minerals reveal that Ti, Fe, and Ca contents of pyroxene minerals are increase from shoshonotic nature towards silica undersaturated alkaline character. The Mg content of amphibole minerals increases whereas Fe and Al contents are decreases from shoshonotic, silica saturated alkaline towards silica undersaturated alkaline behavior rocks. The mica minerals from silica undersaturated rocks have highest F, Mg and K contents with respect to the Ti, Fe, Al. The contents of Ti, Fe and Al within the micas of the silica undersaturated rocks are higher than the shoshonotic nature rocks. © SGEM2018.en_US
