Denizli halk kültüründe deliler ve delilik

Abstract

Çalışmamızın odağını toplumsal ve kültürel yaşantıdaki “delilik” olgusunun idraki noktasından hareketle Denizli’de yaşayan deliler etrafında oluşan anlatmalar teşkil etmektedir. Çalışmamızda, tıbbi olmaktan çok sosyal bir problem olarak ele alacağımız delilik olgusu bağlamında, toplum tarafından “deli” olduğu düşünülen kimselerin farklı boyutlarıyla nasıl değerlendirildikleri, toplumsal-kültürel yansımalarının neler olduğu irdelenecektir. Denizli örneklemi özelinde elde edilecek delilik odaklı anlatmaların kültürel belleğe ilişkin temel kodlarla örtüşüp örtüşmediği tartışılacak, delilik yakıştırmasının toplum tarafından ne tür dinamiklere bağlı olarak yapıldığı analiz edilmeye çalışılacaktır. Çalışmanın amacı, kamusal alan belleğinin oluşmasında önemli yeri olan delilerin, Denizli ili özelinde, halk nazarında nasıl görüldüğü, halk arasında delilik olgusuyla ilgili ne tür inanma ve anlatmaların olduğu bilgisine ulaşmaktır. Bu bağlamda Denizli’nin kültür belleği kayıt altına alınırken ihmal edilen, toplumun ötelenmiş bir kesimine ulaşmak mümkün olacaktır. Halk tarafından deli olduğu düşünülen kimselerin delirme süreçlerinin ve akıl sağlıklarını kaybetme sebeplerinin mercek altına alınmasıyla elde edilecek anlatmalar, halkın delilik olgusuna bakış açısını açığa kavuşturacağı gibi, yerel verilerin kültürel bütünlük bağlamında değerlendirilmesini de olanaklı kılacaktır.

The focus of this study constitutes recitals that are formed around insane persons, who are living in Denizli, starting from the point of the perception of “insanity” phenomenon on the social and cultural life. The following matters will be discussed in this study that in terms of insanity phenomenon that we will deal with as a social problem rather than medical, how persons, who are considered by the society to be “insane”, are evaluated with different aspects and what the social-cultural reflections are. It will be discussed whether recitals driven insanity that will be obtained specific to Denizli sample overlap with the basic codes with regard to the cultural memory, it will be analyzed that the insane epithet is fabricated by the society depending on what kind of dynamics. The aim of the study is to reach the information, how the insane people that have the important place in the formation of public memory, have been seen in the eyes of the people, what kind of belief or recitals have been, specific to the province of Denizli in relation to insanity phenomenon among people. In this context, it will be possible to reach a segment of the society which is neglected and iterated while the cultural memory of Denizli is registered. Recitals that will be obtained by looking closer to the periods of becoming insane of the persons considered by the people to be insane and the reasons of losing their mind will clarify the point of view of the people against the insanity phenomenon, and also will make it possible to assess the local data within the context of cultural integrity.
