Bilgisayar yardımı ile kitap sonu indeksi hazırlanması

Abstract

Kitap sonu indeksleri, kitap içerisinde bulunan kelimeleri biçimsel olarak sınıflandırmak amacıyla hazırlanırlar. Özellikle Türkoloji alanında yaygın olarak kullanılan kitap sonu indeksleri, araştırmacıların kitap ile ilgili bilgilere ulaşmasını kolaylaştırmaktadır. Yaptığımız çalışma ile kitap sonu indekslerinin bilgisayar ortamında otomatik olarak hazırlanması sağlanmıştır. Tasarlanan algoritmalar ve kullanılan yardımcı programlar yardımıyla kitap sonu indeklerini hızlı ve etkin bir şekilde hazırlayan bir yazılım gerçekleştirilmiştir. Disiplinler arası bu çalışma, birbirinden bağımsız üç farklı sürece bölünerek hazırlanmıştır. Bu süreçler görüntü işleme, ayrıştırma, dizinleme olarak adlandırılmıştır. Görüntü işleme sürecinde resim dosyalarının metin dosyalarına dönüştürülmesi sağlanmaktadır. Ayrıştırma sürecinde ise mevcut ayrıştırma notasyonu iyileştirilmiş ve hazırlanan bu yeni notasyon ile ayrıştırma işleminin otomatik yapılması sağlanmıştır. Son olarak dizinleme sürecinde, ayrıştırma işlemi tamamlanan metinlerin dizinlenmesi yapılmaktadır. Bu süreç kapsamında mevcut dizinleme türlerine ek olarak yeni dizinleme türleri hazırlanmıştır. Ayrıca çalışmaya dâhil edilen sıklık sözlükleri yardımıyla kullanıcılara daha kapsamlı çalışmalar hazırlama olanağı sağlanmıştır. Böylelikle kapsam genişletilerek kullanıcının farklı çalışmalar yapması hedeflenmiştir. Sonuç olarak dizin hazırlama konusunda kullanıcıların yükünü oldukça hafifleten bir yazılım ile kullanıcıların daha az sürede ve daha verimli çalışmalar hazırlaması sağlanmıştır.

The end of the book indexes are prepared to formally classify the words contained in the book. The end of the book indexes that are especially widely used in the field of Turkology, facilitate researchers to access information about the book. In our study, the end of the book index has been prepared on computer automatically. A software that prepare end of the book indexes in a fast and effective way is implemented with the aid of the designed algorithms and the utility programs used. This interdisciplinary study is prepared by dividing into three indepented processes. These processes are named as image processing, decomposition and indexing. In the image processing process, the conversion of image files into text files is provided. In the decomposition process, on the other hand, the existent decomposition notation is improved and the decomposition operation is done automatically with the newly prepared notation. Finally, the indexing of text for which the decomposition process has been completed, is obtained in the indexing process. In the context of this final process, new indexing types are prepared in addition to the existent indexing types. Also, with the help of the included “frequncy dictionaries” users are provided the opportunity to prepare more comprehensive studies. Thus, expanding the scope, users are aimed to make different studies. As a result, with software that fairly alleviates the burden of the users in preparing indexes, users are provided to prepare studies in less time and more efficiently.
