Kentiçi toplu taşım türlerinin performansının değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Kentiçi toplu taşımacılığın güzergah performansını önceden belirlenmesinin sayısız önemi bulunmaktadır. Taşıtların geçtiği güzergahların kapasitesi, sıklığı, doluluk oranları, ortalama hızları, durak yerleri, durak aralıkları ve fiziksel özellikleri gibi etkenler ile ilgili kararların sağlıklı bir şekilde alınabilmesi için toplu taşıma sistemlerinin analizinin ve planlamasının tekniğine uygun olarak yapılması gerekir. Kentiçi otobüs güzergahlarının performans değerlerinin belirlenmesi, toplu taşım kullanıcılarına daha iyi hizmet vermek ve toplu taşıma olan talebi arttırmak için önemli rol oynar. Kentiçi otobüs güzergahlarında performans kriteleri, bu kriterlerin değerlerinin belirlenmesi ve gerekli düzenlemelerin yapılması geleceğe yönelik olarak toplu taşıma olan talebin artması bu tezin önemini açıkca ortaya koymaktadır. Tez kapsamında, mevcut otobüs hatları üzerinde etüd çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Yapılan etüdler sonucunda otobüslerin güzergahları boyunca seyahat süreleri, ortalama hızları, taşıdıkları yolcu sayıları, durakların fiziksel özellikleri ve hat kapasite kullanım oranları belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca otobüs hatları arasından güzergahı boyunca hem karma trafiğin hemde tercihli otobüs hattının çalışacağı bir hat seçilmiş ve bu güzergaha ait hız, hacim ve yoğunluk değerleri makro ölçekle hesaplanmıştır. Bu hesaplar sonucunda güzergah üzerindeki tıkanıklık yoğunluğu, şeritlerden geçebilecek maksimum taşıt kapasitesi ve ulaşılabilecek maksimum hız değerleri bulunmuştur. Hesaplanan akım diyagramları arasındaki ilişki değerlendirilerek güzergahın mevcut talebi karşılayıp karşılayamadığı belirlenmiş ve önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

The predetermination of the route performances of inter-city public transportation has innumerable importance. The analysis and projection of public transportation systems have to be carried out in accordance with their techniques in order to be able to make reliable decisions about such parameters as the capacity of the routes that vehicles follow, their frequencies, occupancy rates, average velocities, stopping places, distances between stops and their physical characteristics. The determination of performance values of inter-city bus routes plays an important role in providing a better service for those that prefer to use public transportation, and increasing the demand for it. The importance of this thesis is evidently demonstrated by the performance criteria for inter-city bus routes, the determination of the values of those criterions and making required arrangements accordingly, and the prudential rise in demand for public transportation. Within the scope of the thesis, the survey studies are performed on the existing bus routes. Following the researches carried out, the travel times and average velocities of the buses over the route, the number of passengers that they carry, the physical characteristics of the stops and the usage rate of route capacity are determined. Furthermore, out of the bus routes, v the one along which both mixed traffic and optional bus route are present, is selected, and the values of speed, capacity and occupancy are measured at the macro scale. As a result of those calculations, the jam density over the route, the maximum number of vehicles that can go through the lanes and the maximum value of speed that they can reach are detected. Evaluating the relation between the diagrams of the calculated flow, it is found out whether the route meets the existing demand or not, and accordingly, some proposals are put forward.
