Denizli doğusu şahinler bölgesi (Pınarkent) aktif faylara yönelik paleosismoloji çalışması

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Denizli ili, Pınarkent Mahallesi, Şahinler Mevkii yerleşim alanının zeminleri, jeolojik açıdan incelenmiş ve bölgede meydana gelebilecek bir deprem etkisiyle zeminlerin yerleşime uygunlukları belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Denizli ili kuzeydoğusu ve batısında, genelde güneybatıya doğru eğimli ve eğimleri 15-25o arasında değişen tabakalardan oluşan Neojen çakıltaşı, kumtaşı, silttaşı ve kiltaşı kayaçları yer almaktadır. Neojen çökel kayaçları bölgede geniş yayılım gösteren Kolonkaya formasyonu dahilinde düşünülmektedir. Şehrin doğu kesimlerinde yelpaze çökelleri olarak adlandırılan tutturulmuş çakıltaşı, kumtaşı, kiltaşı, silttaşı birimleri mevcuttur. Çalışma alanının içerisinde bulunduğu gevşek alüvyal zeminler ise inceleme alanında oldukça geniş alanlar kaplamaktadır. Açılma tektoniğinin hakim olduğu Ege bölgesinde yer alan Denizli ili, kuzeyi ve güneyi normal faylarla sınırlı bir çöküntü alanında kurulmuştur. Depremsellik açısından oldukça aktif bir bölgede yer alan şehir geçmişten günümüze çeşitli büyüklükteki depremlere maruz kalmıştır. Bu çalışma kapsamında Denizli ili ve yakın çevresinde son yüzyılda meydana gelmiş depremlerin dağılımı incelenmiş görülmüştür. Kaleköy segmenti boyunca yerleşime uygunluk açısından Yüzey Faylanma Tehlike Zonu (Fay Tampon Bölge) oluşturulması amacıyla çalışma yapılması öngörülmüştür.

In this thesis work, soil properties of the residential areas of neighbors in Şahinler (Pınarkent) in the province of Denizli are investigated from the geological points of view. In order to check, the soils are examined to determine the suitability of these areas in case of an earthquake. In Northeast and West parts of Denizli, Neogene pebble stone, sandstone, silt stone and clay stone which consist of layers whose slopes, generally in southwest direction, between 150 and 250 are located. Also, neogene pebbles are considered to be inclusive of Kolankaya Formation which is widely spread in that area. In addition to this, units of pebble stone, sandstone, clay stone and silt stone so called alluvial fan deposits can be found in the eastern part of Denizli. Loose alluvial ground covers a quite large area of investigation. Province of Denizli, located in Aegean region where mainly dominated by extensional tectonics are established in between its north and south bounded by normal fault lines. The city is in active seismicity region so that there have been many different magnitudes of earthquakes that city are exposed on occasion. In this study, the distribution of earthquakes occurred in province of Denizli and closer regions of it are examined and it is concluded that earthquakes are concentrated on highly especially basin of Denizli. Finally, it is better to exercise to create surface faulting hazard zone (fault buffer zone) throughout Kaleköy segments in terms of suitability for settlement.
