dc.description.abstractThe result of the world-wide competition and the rapid development on the technology, the factories have been focused on the alternative solutions and they started to use production planning systems supported by computers. The main aim of these kind of systems which is used in the textile and confection factories widespreadly, is to use the factory's sources in a most effective way, to shorten the lead-times with effective supply and stock processes, and to drop the production costs.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this study, questionnaire survey has been made among randomly selected middle and big size textile and confection factories functioned in Denizli. In this factories implementation of computer supported production planning systems has been examined, such as ERP, which enterprises to manage all work process from supply to delivery. For this aim, datas have been collected from multiple factories through survey and the usage of such systems and their expectations, benefits of the systems, the problems encountered during the system installation and operation are studied and analyzed.en_US
dc.description.abstractAs a result of the survey, it is determined that, the usage of computer supported production planning systems among the textile and confection factories functioned in Denizli is 51% and all the factories which has more then 500 employers use such systems actively. System preference of the factories are mostly for MRP, barcode technologies, and computer supported design systems and they use these systems mostly for stock management, finance-account and production follow-up.en_US
