Alaşehir yöresindeki efsane ve memoratlar

Abstract

Alaşehir, çeşitli dinlerin ve kültürlerin bir araya geldiği önemli merkezlerden birisidir. Bu coğrafya yüzyıllardır hem toplumsal hem de kültürel manada çeşitli olaylara önemli bir mekân olmuştur. Türk halk edebiyatının anlatmaya dayalı türlerinden olan efsane ve memoratlar toplumların kültürel belleklerini ve dünya algılarını yansıtan, gelenek ve göreneklerin yaşatılmasına destek olan anlatılardır. Bu çalışmada bölgeden derlenen 141 efsane ve 124 memorat metninin, Türk kültür coğrafyasındaki efsane geleneği içindeki yeri ortaya konulmuş ve Alaşehir’in kültürel yapısı hakkında bilgiler elde edilmiştir. Saha araştırması neticesinde derlenen efsaneler konularına göre beş ana başlığa ayrılmıştır. Bu başlıklar; Oluşum Efsaneleri, Dinî Şahsiyetlerle İlgili Efsaneler, Olağanüstü Varlıklar ve Olaylar İlgili Efsaneler, Tarihî Efsaneler ve Yer Adlarıyla İlgili Efsanelerdir. Bunun yanında araştırmanın bir diğer türü olan memoratlar da konularına göre üç ana başlığa ayrılmıştır. Buna göre; Olağanüstü Varlıklarla İlgili Memoratlar, Dinî Şahsiyetlerle İlgili Memoratlar ve Olağanüstü Olaylarla İlgili Memoratlar tespit edilen başlıklardır. Alaşehir’de derlenen efsane ve memoratların muhtevaları Türk halkının duygusunu, düşüncesini, dilini, inancını, yaşam tarzını yansıtarak nesilden nesile aktarılmasına imkân vermiştir.

Alasehir is one of the important centers where various religions and cultures came together. This geography has been a significant venue for a variety of events both in a social and cultural sense for centuries. Legends and memorates, which are the narrative-based genres of Turkish Folk Literature, are narratives reflecting the cultural memories and word-views of societies, and supporting the sustainment of traditions and customs. In this study, the place of the 141 legend texts and 124 memorate texts compiled from the region, within the legend tradition in Turkish cultural geography has been revealed, and information about the cultural structure of Alasehir has been obtained. The legends collected in the field research are divided into five main headings according to their subjects. These heading are ; Formation Legends , Legends about the Religious Figures, Legends about the Extraordinary Beings and Events, Historical Legends, and Legends about Place Names. In addition, Memorates, the another type of the research, are also divided into three main headings according to their subjects. Accordingly, Memorates about the Extraordinary Beings, Memorates about the Religious Figures, and Memorates about the Extraordinary Events are the determined headings. The contents of the legends and the memorates compiled in Alasehir have enabled the transference of the feelings, thoughts, language, beliefs and the lifestyle of the Turkish people from one generation to another by reflecting them.
