dc.description.abstractCognitive social capital is associated with intangible elements such as common values, norms of reciprocity, trust, attitudes, perceptions and beliefs. Cognitive social capital examines the quality of capabilities which prepare the people for collective action. It also explores the potential for establishing relations based on mutual trust in social, political and economic relations. Thus, it enables people and societies to perceive their reality better and not to be detached from the realities of the world. On the other hand, cognitive social capital states that potential sources of the community can turn into economic opportunities through effective functioning networks. The presents study deals with social capital both in micro and macro terms and explains that ideal concept of social capital may occur through cognitive social capital.en_US
