Abstract: In this study we have implemented; Cr(VI), which is used in the chromate plating process in the plating industry and is highly toxic to the environment, has been removed from the chromate plating water by using an enhanced polymer inclusion membrane with modifiying graphane oxide (GO/PIM) which is increased mechanical structure and permeability of PIM. The synthesized graphene oxide was characterized by TEM, SEM, IR, Raman, XRD and XPS. In the study, the optimum amount of graphene oxide in the modified membrane was determined and the membrane lifetime and the mechanical stability of the membrane were investigated in GO/PIM experiments. It was obtained highly selective and a high recovery value of 96.83% for the removal of Cr(VI) ions from the chromate plating water with synthesized GO/PIM. This research contributes the production of new generates membranes in our country in the near feature with increasing of the mechanical stability and the membrane lifetime of the GO/PIM and on the usability of these membranes in industrial applications.
