dc.description.abstractA survey was conducted in Dilek peninsula-Great Menderes Delta national park, with an area of 10.985 ha. Studies were undertaken during 1998-2001. Vegetation types including 3 new associations namely Urgino-Quercetum cocciferae, Querco-Oleatum europaea and Pistacio-Ceratonietum siliquae are reported for the first time from the area together with a list of over 50 endemics and endangered taxa like Campanula tomentosa. Land degradation practices due to demographic pressures, land clearence, fires and tourism are discussed.en_US
