Abstract: We report on an experimental observation of dark incoherent soliton Y splitting. The effects of incoherence on the evolution of incoherent dark soliton doublets are investigated both theoretically and experimentally. We show that the dynamics of these incoherent self-trapped entities are associated with strong ''phase-memory" effects that are otherwise absent in the linear regime. [S1063-651X(99)50205-5].
