Cemil Meriç düzleminde doğu batı, kültür irfan çatışması

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın temel amacı Doğu, Batı, Kültür, İrfan kavramlarını ana hatları ile Cemil Meriç perspektifinde aktarmaktır. Doğu ile Batı tarihsel süreç içerisinde sık sık karşı karşıya kalmıştır. Bazen Doğu, Batı’yı bazen de Batı, Doğu’yu etkilemiştir. Özellikle kültürel anlamda bu etkileşim daha yoğun olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Cemil Meriç, yaşadığı dönem ve bölge açısından bu etkileşimi çok yoğun bir şekilde yaşamıştır. Osmanlı’nın, tarihsel süreçte yaşadığı Batılılaşma, Meriç tarafından birçok eserinde irdelenir. Meriç, bu bağlamda bazı kavramları Doğu-Batı çizgisinde ele alır. Çalışma üç ana kısımdan oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde Cemil Meriç’in hayatını ve yaşadığı yaşam koşullarını, ikinci bölümde Meriç bağlamında Doğu-Batı etkileşimini, üçüncü bölümde ise bazı kavramlar Cemil Meriç perspektifinde ele alınmıştır.

The main purpose of this study is to convey the main concepts of East, West, Culture, and İrfan (Lore) from the perspective of cemil Meriç. East and West have often faced in the historical process. While East sometime affects West, sometime West effects East. Especially, this interaction is more intensely our facing in the cultural sense (meaning). Also Cemil Meriç came across this interaction very intensely in terms of the period and region the westernization which Ottoman’s lived in the historical process is scrutinesed in many works by Meriç. In this context, Meriç deals with also same concepts on East-West line. Studying/ practicing consist three main parts. First part is the life and social life conditions of Cemil Meriç, in the second part, the East-West interaction in the context of Meriç. And in the third part some concepts were dealed with in the perspective of Cemil Meriç.
