Abstract: In February 2011, Turkish police raided on OdaTV, accused of trying to launch a coup. Zaman newspaper did not evaluate it as an intervention against freedom of media. In December 2014, Turkish police raided the daily Zaman newspaper. At this point, Zaman newspaper writers evaluated this process as a violation of the freedom of speech. In this paper, we will explain the differentiation of Zaman newspaper’s evaluation of the arrest of the journalists in 2011 and in 2014.The main frame of the study is also designed around the concepts of sociologist Bourdieu’s terminology.
