Abstract: With globalization, companies are in constant competition with their rivals in both the local and international markets. In order to achieve success in this environment, companies must be able to use competitive strategies effectively and at the same time be in a continuous innovation and development. However, the cost increases in the formation of innovation, which leads to the pioneering of competition, lead enterprises to new searches. Companies prefer to enter into cooperation with external resources in their innovation activities. Collaborative innovation, which enables creative ideas and projects to be uncovered, gives enterprises competitive power. Open innovation companies innovate by using internal and external resources, during the innovation process. In this study, according to information obtained from the theoretical and examination results obtained by the detailed screening of the related literature, it has been tried to find answers to the questions that will reveal the awareness and usage levels of the enterprises to open innovation. A qualitative research was conducted by using face-to-face interviews with enterprises that implement open innovation activities in Denizli.
