Denizli ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin örgüt kültürü ve önemine ilişkin algıları

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, Denizli ili merkezindeki ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin, ilköğretim okullarının örgütsel kültürüne ve bu örgüt kültürünün önemine ilişkin algılarını belirlemektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2009-2010 eğitim-öğretim yılında Denizli ili merkezindeki resmi ilköğretim kurumlarında görev yapan 318 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Öğretmenlere, okul kültürünü ve bu kültürün önemine ilişkin algılarını ölçmek amacıyla 37 maddeden oluşan ?Örgütsel Kültür Ölçeği? uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde ortalama, standart sapma, t-testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi gibi tekniklerden yararlanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, aşağıdaki sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır: 1. Denizli ili merkezindeki ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin örgüt kültürüne ilişkin algıları ?nötr? düzeydedir. 2. Denizli ilindeki ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin çalıştıkları okulun kültürüne ilişkin algıları arasında cinsiyet, çalışma yılı ve branş değişkenlerine göre anlamlı fark bulunamamıştır. Bunun yanında, eğitim durumu ve bulunulan okuldaki görev süresi değişkenine göre de anlamlı fark bulunmuştur. 3. Denizli ilindeki ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenler, çalıştıkları okulun kültürünü en yüksek başarı, daha sonra sırasıyla rol, destek ve en az da güç boyutunda algılamaktadırlar. 4. Denizli ilindeki ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin okul kültürünün örgüt etkililiği açısından önemine ilişkin algı puanları ?düşük? düzeydedir. Öğretmenlerin örgüt kültürünün boyutlarının okul etkililiği açısından önemine ilişkin algılarında en önemli olarak ?rol? boyutunu, daha sonra sırasıyla ?başarı? boyutu, ?destek? boyutu ve en az olarak da ?güç? boyutunu algılamaktadırlar. The broad objective of this study is to examine the perception of teachers, who are working in primary schools in the center of Denizli, about organizational culture and its importance. The sample survey of this study comprises 318 primary school teachers who are working officially in the city center of Denizli Province during the period 2009-2010. To understand the school culture and their perception about its importance, the teachers were asked to fill out ?Organizational Culture Questionnaire? which has 37 items. In the analysis of this data, some methods including mean, standard deviation, one-way analysis of variance and t-test were used. The following results have been reached according to the findings: 1. The level of perception of teachers working in primary schools in Denizli about organizational culture is in a?neutral? state. 2. There is not a significant difference between the variables of sex, major and work duration of teachers when their perception of organizational culture of the school is examined. However, it has been observed that there is a significant difference when the variables of educational status of teachers and the duration of their employment in that school. 3. The teachers working in primary schools in Denizli perceive that the culture of their school is respectively success, role, support and power at least. 4. The level of perception of teachers working in primary schools in Denizli is ?low? about the effectuality of organization in school culture. The teachers perceive that within the dimensions of organizational culture in schools, ?role? is the most important dimension, ?success?, ?support? and ?power? following it.
