Çalışma sermayesi yönetimi ve Kayseri imalat sanayi uygulaması

Abstract

Gelişen teknoloji ile birlikte rekabet düzeyi artmıştır. İşletmeler bu rekabet ortamında ayakta kalabilmek için, bir taraftan gelişen teknolojiye ayak uydurmaya çalışırken, bir yandan da şirketin değerini maksimize etmek ve ortakların servetlerini artırmak amacıyla sahip oldukları varlıkları en iyi şekilde yönetmeye çalışmaktadırlar. İşletmelerin amaçlarına ulaşmasında çalışma sermayesi yönetimi önemli yer tutmaktadır. Kötü bir çalışma sermayesi yönetimi, işletmelerin finansal açıdan başarısız olmalarının en önemli etkenlerinden biridir. Çalışma sermayesi bir işletmenin kısa vadeli aktiflerinin yönetiminin genel çerçevesini oluşturmaktadır. Nakit, alacak ve stoklar gibi aktifleri kapsayan çalışma sermayesi işletmenin kısa vadeli performansını yansıtmaktadır. Bu araştırmada Kayseri imalat sektöründe faaliyet gösteren ve tesadüfü olarak seçilen 32 firma üzerinde çalışma sermayesi yeterlilik analizi yapılması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında firmaların geriye dönük beşer yıllık bilânço ve gelir tablosu verileri kullanarak çalışma sermayesini ilgilendiren oranlar hesaplanmıştır. Yıllar itibariyle hesaplanan bu oranlar ile aynı dönemlere ait Merkez Bankası'nın ilgili sektör verileri karşılaştırılarak Kayseri'deki işletmelerin çalışma sermayesi yönetimi değerlendirilmiştir. The level of competition has increased along with the developing technology. On the one hand, the businesses are trying to keep up with the developing technology in order to survive; on the other side, they are trying their best to manage the assets they possess so as to maximize the value of the company and increase the wealth of the partners. Working capital management plays an important role in the attempt of businesses to reach their goals. Inefficient working capital management is one of the most significant factors in affecting the businesses to be financially unsuccessful. Working capital comprises the general framework of the management of short-term assets of a business. Working capital including the assets such as cash, receivables and stocks reflects the short-term performance of a business. In this study, it has been aimed to make a proficiency analysis of working capital on 32 firms chosen incidentally and displaying activity in manufacturing sector in Kayseri. Within the study, the ratios regarding the working capital were calculated by using retroactive five years balance sheet of the firms and the data of income sheet. The working capital management of the businesses in Kayseri were evaluated by comparing the concerned sector data of the Central Bank belonging to the same periods together with these ratios calculated as per the years.
