Demokrat Parti iktidarında sosyalist Sol’un icrası : Vatan Partisi deneyimi (1954-1957)

Abstract

Bu çalışma doküman analizi çerçevesinde yorumlayıcı bir perspektif ve sosyotarihsel bir çizgide Erken Cumhuriyet devrinden itibaren illegal koşullarda etkinlik gösteren sosyalist sol muhalefetin Demokrat Parti (DP) iktidarında yürüttüğü faaliyetler dizisini temel almaktadır. Bir başka deyişle illegal Türkiye Komünist Partisi’nin (TKP) 1951 tevkifatı sonrası silikleşen konumu karşısında sosyalist sol’un bir aktörü olarak legal alanda vücut bulmuş Vatan Partisi (VP) deneyimini irdelemektir. VP, birçok bakımdan dönüşümün yaşandığı ellilerin yapısal şartları ve Genel Başkanı Hikmet Kıvılcımlı’nın Yol Etütlerinde dile getirdiği ‘‘legal alanı kullanma’’ ilkesi ve Tarih Tezi çerçevesinde şekillenmiştir. Yayın organı Vatandaş gazetesiyle etki alanını genişletmeyi arzulayan VP, dönemin sol karşıtı ağır havasından kaynaklı belirli bir etki alanında kalmıştır. 1957 Erken genel seçimlerine katılan VP, seçim çalışmaları kapsamında İstanbul ve İzmir’de faaliyetler yürütmüştür. Hikmet Kıvılcımlı’nın İstanbul Eyüp’te sosyalist propagandayı ‘‘İslami bir dille’’ yaptığı konuşması sonrası gerçekleşen tutuklamalarla etkinlik alanını kaybetmiştir. VP Davası iki yıl süren yargılamalar neticesinde beraatla sonuçlansa da VP, altmışlı yıllarda yerini TKP geleneğine görece mesafeli sol örgütlenmelere bırakmıştır.

This study is based on the series of activities conducted under the rule of the Democrat Party (DP) by the socialist left opposition, which operetad under illegal conditions since the period of the Early Repuclic, and has an interpretive perspective and a socio-historical line in the context of document analysis. In other words, the study examines the Vatan Party (VP) experience realized in the legal area as an actor of the socialist left against the obscured position of the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) following the 1951 arrest. VP was spahed in the context of the structural conditions of the fifties when transformations took place in many respect and in the context of the principle of ‘‘using the legal area’’and the Historical Thesis that Chairman Hikmet Kıvılcımlı expressed in his Road critiques. Aiming to broaden its area of influence with its publication Vatandaş (The Citizen), VP remained in the certain area of influence due to the mostly antileft atmosphere of the time. Participating in the 1957 early general elections, VP operated in İstanbul ve İzmir as part of its election campaign. The party lost its area of influence following the arrests after speech Hikmet Kıvılcımlı gave in İstnabul Eyüp in which he made socialist propaganda in ‘‘an İslamıc language’’. Although the VP Trial resulted in acquittal following two years of trials, VP left its place in the sixties to the leftist organizations that were relatively distanced to the TKP tradition.
