Kısıtlar teorisi ve Altı Sigma entegrasyonu: Bir üretim tesisinde süreç iyileştirme uygulaması

Abstract

20.yy’ın ikinci yarısından itibaren başlayan kaynak yetersizliği ve artan rekabet ortamı neticesinde işletmelerin ürettikleri ürün ya da hizmetleri hedefledikleri sayıdaki müşterilere ulaştırmaları zorlaşmaya başlamıştır. Rekabet öncelikle müşterilerin beklentilerini karşılayan kaliteli ürünü yine müşterinin beklentisi olan fiyatla satabilmede yaşanmıştır. Günümüz piyasa koşullarında halen geçerliliğini koruyan fiyat rekabeti ile başa çıkabilmenin en iyi yolu müşterilere sunduğunuz ürün ya da hizmeti kaliteden ödün vermeden daha uygun maliyette üretebilmek ve uygun fiyatla piyasaya sürmektir. Günümüzde işletmeler bu amacı gerçekleştirebilmek, süreçlerini yönetebilmek için bazı yönetim felsefelerini uygulamaktadır. Bu sayede müşterilerine sundukları ürün ya da hizmeti uygun kalitede ve maliyette üretebilirler. Bu çalışmada Kısıtlar Teorisi ve Altı Sigma metodolojileri ayrı ayrı tanımlanmış, bu yöntemlerin literatür taramaları ile yapılan uygulamalar ve kazanımlar hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Daha sonra bu iki yöntemin bütünleşme modeli ile ilgili çalışmalar hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Son bölümde bir enerji kablosu üretim tesisinde bütünleşme modeli yardımı ile süreç iyileştirme çalışması yapılmıştır. Çalışma sonunda bütünleşme modelinin uygulanması ile sürece ilave ekipman yatırımı yapılarak alternatif hammadde kullanımı sağlanmış, bu sayede hammadde maliyetinde ve üretim hızında iyileştirmeler yapılmıştır.

As a result of lack of resources and increasing of competition that started in the second half of 20th century, it has become difficult for businesses to deliver their products or services to the number of customers they target. Competion was primarily experienced in selling the quality product that meets the expectations of customers and the price expected of them. The best way to cope with this price competition which is still valid in today’s market conditions is to be able to produce the product or service you offer to customers at a most affordable cost without sacrificing quality and launching it to the market at affordable prices. Today nearly all businesses apply some management philosophies in order to achieve this goal and and manage their processes. In this way, they can produce goods or services and offer to their customers with appropriate quality and cost. In this study, Theory of Constraints and Six Sigma methodologies are defined separately, and with the literature review information about the applications, achievements of these methods are given together. After then, the integration model of these methods was given. In the last section, with the help of this integration model, a process improvement study was carried out in an power cable production facility. At the end of the study, with the implementation of the integration model, by investing in additional equipment to the process alternative raw materials were used, thus improving the raw material cost and production speed.
