Abstract: Countries close to plate boundaries, such as Turkey, are under the threat of major earthquakes that Çameli Basin is tectonically an active region and it is located on middle of the Burdur-Fethiye fault in southwestern Anatolia. Deterministic seismic hazard analysis is a method used to evaluate the effects of potential earthquakes. The evaluation of these projects such as dams, roads, viaducts, bridges, schools, hospitals which have been built using seismic hazard analysis, in terms of geotechnical earthquake engineering is of great importance for engineering.The aim of this study is comparison of Next Generation Attenuation: (NGA) ground motion prediction models (GMPEs) and strong ground motion models developed for Turkey of Çameli Region of Denizli Province using deterministic method. Within the scope of the study, deterministic seismic hazard analysis has been performed by using earthquake magnitude (Mw), tectonic and seismic factors in the vicinity of Çameli of Denizli province since 2000. With the selected equations, 24 recorded (Mw ? 5.0) strong ground motion records were evaluated. The study area covers the region within a radius of 150 m, with reference to Çameli district center. Developed for Turkey attenuation equations such as Ulutaş et al. (2011), Beyaz et. al. (2004), Akkar and Cagnan (2010) for a civil engineering constructions such as dam, tunnel, viaduct in the study area were compared to Next Generation Attenuation: (NGA) ground motion prediction models such as Lee et al. (2008), Zhao et al. (2006), Megawati ve Pan (2010) with peak ground accelarations (PGA) values obtained from deterministic method and it defined maximum accelaration value of 0.43 g. As a result of, when the ground Accelaration graphs obtained with attenuation equations are evaluated as similarity, Ulutaş et al. (2011) and Lee et al. (2008) attenuation equation graphs are more similar according to others.
