Öğrenci, öğretmen, veli açısından anadolu liseleri ile mesleki ve teknik liselerinin sosyolojik değerlendirmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, Anadolu lisesi - Mesleki ve Teknik lise olarak belirlenen iki farklı okul türüne mensup öğrenciler, öğretmenler ve veliler üzerindeki etkiler ışığında, öğrenci profillerinin algılanması ve sorunlarının tespit edilmesidir. Bu araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Görüşmeler Koronavirüs salgını sebebiyle çevrimiçi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında 80 öğrenci, 26 öğretmen ve 25 veli ile çevrimiçi görüşme sağlanmıştır. 6 farklı form oluşturulmuştur. Bu formlar demografik ve açık uçlu sorular olmak üzere iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda bu okulların tercih sebepleri ve bu okullara bakış açısı ikiye ayrılmıştır. Anadolu liseleri üniversiteye gitmek için bir basamak olarak görülürken Mesleki ve teknik liseler meslek sahibi olmak için gidilen okullar olarak yorumlanmıştır. Buna neden olarak da mesleki ve teknik liselerindeki kültür derslerinin azlığı gösterilmiştir. Anadolu liseleri genel anlamda olumlu ve iyi şekillerde algılanırken mesleki ve teknik liselerin başarısızlıkla ilişkili olumsuz davranışların yoğun olduğu okullar olarak algılandığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca mesleki ve teknik liselerdeki başarısızlık ise öğrenci-veli ilişkisi ve ailevi problemlere dayandırılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin öğrencilere karşı yaklaşımları öğrencilerin o derslerdeki başarısını da olumlu etkilendiği tespit edilmiştir. Son olarak öğrencilerin üniversitede okumak istedikleri bölümlerin seçimleri ise günümüz istihdam edilme durumuna bağlı olarak tercih edildiği belirlenmiştir. Dolayısıyla belirlenen okul türlerinin öğrenci profillerinin şekillenmesindeki etkiler öğrenci-öğretmen ve veli perspektiflerinden değerlendirilmiştir.

The purpose of this study is to perceive student profiles and identify their problems in the light of the effects on students, teachers and parents of two different school types, which are Anatolian High School - Vocational and Technical High School. In this study, one of the qualitative research methods was used as of interview technique. The interviews were conducted online due to the coronavirus outbreak. Within the scope of the research, online interviews were conducted with 80 students, 26 teachers and 25 parents. 6 different forms were created. These forms consist of two parts, demographic and open-ended questions.As a result of the research, the reasons for choosing these schools and their point of view are divided into two parts. While Anatolian high schools are seen as a step to go to university, vocational and technical high schools are interpreted as schools for those who would pursue a profession. The reason for this has been shown to be the scarcity of culture courses in vocational and technical high schools. While Anatolian high schools are generally perceived positively and well, it has been determined that vocational and technical high schools are perceived as schools with failures and places with intense negative behaviors. In addition, the failure in vocational and technical high schools has been attributed to student-parent relationship and family problems. It was determined that teachers' attitudes towards students positively affected the success of students in those lessons. Finally, it was determined that the choice of the departments that students want to study at the university is preferred depending on the current employability status. Therefore, the effects of the determined school types in shaping the student profiles were evaluated from the student-teacher and parent perspectives.
