Abstract: In this study, mode split was investigated in indirect coupling structure formed in two dimensional photonic crystal. In a two-dimensional square lattice photonic crystal structure, a single and sequentially connected indirect coupling structure consisting of waveguide and cavity was formed. It has been shown that the modes in the single structure formed can be split by additional perturbation, while the modes in the consecutive connected structure can be split according to the length of the waveguide between the cavities. The designed structure was analyzed by Plane Wave Method and Time Finite Difference Method. The proposed structure can be used effectively in all optical communication applications.
