Abstract: In this study, the montly cooling degree-day numbers of cooling season was calculated for selected 8 provinces (Adana, Adiyaman, Antakya, Antalya, Aydin, Diyarbakir, Izmir and Sanliurfa) from 1st degree-day region that the warmest climate region of Turkey and six different base temperature (Tb = 18, 20, 22, 24, 26 and 28 degrees C). Sanliurfa has the highest degree-day number althought Izmir has the lowest degree-day number in terms of selected months and base temperatures. The cooling energy consumption of Sanliurfa was predicted more 42% than Izmir for 22 degrees C base temperature and Agust.
