Abstract: | Background: Intracerebral hemorrhagic brain injury after open heart surgery is a rare complication. We report a case of acute intraventricular hemorrhage after coronary bypass surgery. Methods: The brain computed tomography revealed intraventricular bleeding in the patient and urgent external ventricular drainage was performed by neurosurgeons. Results: The clinical findings disappeared after the drainage. Conclusion: Early diagnosis and treatment is important in preventing organic brain damage in this complication. © 2007 by Blackwell Futura Publishing, Inc. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/11499/4255 https://doi.org/10.1111/j.1540-8191.2007.00393.x |
