Abstract: Brenner tumors are rare transitional cell tumors of the ovary. They are usually benign tumors but rarely have borderline and malignant types. Most of the benign Brenner tumors are small and are found incidentally. Our case was a 57 years old woman who underwent laparotomy for ovarian cyst. On laparotomy a solid mass was found on the left ovary. The left ovarian mass was excised and a histopathological diagnosis of borderline (atypical proliferative) Brenner tumor was made. In this paper, histopathological findings of this rare case are presented and the literature is reviewed.
