Abstract: Purpose: We aimed to evaluate the predictive roles of “very-low-risk” bladder cancer by analyzing the clinical outcomes of low-risk bladder cancer. Materıal and methods: 32 patients who were treated and followed up between 2013 and December 2019 with the diagnosis of low-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) were retrospectively analyzed. Patients were divided into two prognostic groups based on tumor size (≤ 1.0 cm vs >1.0 cm). Two groups were compared in terms of clinical, pathological findings and recurrence, progression in follow-up. Results: A total of 32 patients were followed up to recurrence time. A total of 14 patients had tumors that were ≤ 1.0 cm. Using univariate Cox modeling, smoking status and intravesical Mitomycin-C (MMC) were significantly associated with shorter time to recurrence (HR 0.103, 95% CI 0.020-0,520, p=0.006; HR 4.264, 95% CI 1.02617.727, p=0.046; respectively). Tumor size was not significantly associated with any differences in time to recurrence (p=0.838). Conclusion: Lower tumors (≤ 1.0 cm) are not significantly associated with shorter time to recurrence compared with larger tumors (>1.0 cm). © 2020, Pamukkale University. All rights reserved.
