İbn Asâkir’in Târîhu Medîneti Dımaşk’ında Sahâbe Bilgisi (Başlangıçtan “Şın” Harfine Kadar)

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, döneminin önde gelen hadis ve tarih bilgini İbn Asâkir’in (öl. 571/1176) Suriye bölgesinde yaşayan veya bu bölgeye cihad, irşad, ticaret, seyahat gibi sebeplerle gelen peygamber, sahâbî, halife, yönetici, hadis râvisi, şair, mezhep imamı gibi döneminin önde gelen şahsiyetlerinden kadın-erkek toplamda 9519 kişinin (yapılan müstedrek çalışmasıyla birlikte bu rakam 10226’ya çıkarılmıştır) biyografisine yer verdiği Târîhu medîneti Dımaşk isimli eserinin başlangıcından “Şın” harfine kadar olan bölümde geçen sahâbîler tespit edilmiştir. Bu bağlamda, eserin ilgili bölümü titizlikle okunmuş, sahâbenin tespit yolları göz önünde bulundurularak Hz. Peygamber ile sohbeti tespit edilen sahâbîler tespit edilmiştir. Tespit edilen bu sahâbîlerin sohbeti hakkında tümdengelim metoduyla diğer sahâbe külliyâtı taranarak araştırma yapılmış, bu konuda eser yazan ulemânın yanı sıra özellikle İbn Hacer’in (öl. 852/1449) yapmış olduğu değerlendirme göz önünde bulundurularak neticeye varılmıştır. Birinci bölümde, İbn Asâkir’in hayatı ve eserleri hakkında bilgi verilip sahâbe kavramı ve sahâbenin tespit yolları açıklanmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise İbn Asâkir’in sahâbeyi tespiti, Târîh’inde sahâbe bilgisinin muhtevâsı, yararlandığı kaynaklar ve sonraki dönem sahâbe kaynaklarına etkisi konuları ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda yer alan “Ekler” kısmında ise tespit edilen sahâbîlerin listesi verilip tercemelerinde onlar hakkında verilen bilgiler dipnotlarda özetlenmiştir. İbn Asâkir’in sahâbî olma ihtimalinin olduğunu söylediği kişiler hakkında İbn Hacer’in onların muhadramûndan veya tabiînden olduğunu söylediği görülmüştür. İbn Asâkir’in sahâbî olduğunu zikrettiği bazı kimselerin ise diğer sahâbe külliyâtında isimlerinin geçmediği tespit edilmiştir. Hadislerin güvenilirliği açısından sahâbenin tanınması ve sahâbî olduğunun tespit edilmesi önemlidir. İbn Asâkir’in Târîh’inde geçen sahâbîlerin tespit edilip onlar hakkında ne tür bilgiler verildiğinin ortaya çıkarılmasını amaçlayan çalışmamız bu alanda yapılacak olan çalışmalara katkı sağlayacaktır.

The present work identifies companions the biographies of which are found in the biographical dictionary of T?r?kh Mad?na Dimašq, from its beginning to the letter š?n, by Ibn ?A??kir (d. 571/1176), a leading scholar of ?ad?th and history, who included in his dictionary leading figures of their times the some of which make 9519 (and with supplementary studies 10226) from among prophets, companions, caliphs, administrators, ?ad?th narrators, poets, jurists, who came to the region for various reasons such as war, irš?d, trade, and travel. This part of the dictionary, in this regard, was subject to a close reading, and the companions whose company have been identified with the Prophet through the methods of identifying companions. Using deduction method, this work undertakes research on the companies of the companions that were thus identified using the other sources within the literature on the Companions, which then led to conclusions to be made on the basis of the assessments especially of Ibn ?ajar (d. 852/1449) in addition to those of other scholars who produced work(s) on this matter. The first chapter is dedicated to providing information on the life and works of Ibn ?A??kir while also explaining the term ‘companion’ and the identification ways of the Companions. The second chapter deals with such matters as Ibn ?A??kir’s identification of the Companions, the contents of the information regarding the Companions in his T?r?kh, his sources which he made use of, and the influence which it had upon later works on sources on the Companions. The “Supplement” section at the end of the present work provides a list of the companions identified in the work as well as brief information about the companions mentioned in their biographies. I have found that Ibn ?ajar would consider those companions whom Ibn ?A??kir would speak about the possibility of them being companions as from among mu?adram?n or from among the Successors. I have also found that the names of some of those individuals whom Ibn ?A??kir considers as companions are not listed within other sources in the literature on the Companions. For the authentication of the traditions, it is vital to make the Companions known and identify that they are from among the Companions. The present work, which aims at identifying the companions found in Ibn ?A??kir’s T?r?kh and bringing to light the kinds of information mentioned therein, will be an important contribution to the works to be done in this field.
