Tıp ve fizyonomi çalışmalarında burnun yeri ve istihdamındaki değeri

Abstract

Tarih boyunca her bir şeyi anlamak ve tanımak isteyen insan için bu mana yolculuğunda en karmaşık bulduğu ve hali hazırda merakını taze tutan yine kendi varlığı olmuştur. Nitekim yaratılmışlar içerisinde aklıyla kendini diğerlerinden yüce tutan insan yine kendine ait olan her bir yetiyi üstünleştirmiş ve bu üstünlüğün yaradılışındaki ve yaşayışındaki tesirini anlama çabasına girişmiştir. Dahası insanın yaşama tutunmasını sağlayan her bir uzvu aynı zamanda onun yaşam yolculuğunda da kılavuzu olmuştur. Öyle ki, bir uzvun sağlıklı ve işlevini yerine getiriyor olması kadar şekli ve formu da gerek bireysel yaşamda gerekse de toplum nezdinde büyük değer taşımıştır. Bu hal çerçevesinde gelişen fizyonomi ilmiyle birlikte insan kendi ırkını tanımış ve ikili ilişkilerini şekillendirerek geleceğine yön vermiştir. Ayrıca fizyonomi ilminin gelişmesi tarihi süreçten başlayarak bu günün insanı için de iktidarda ve istihdamda belirleyici bir faktör olmuştur. Bu gayeyle her bir uzva ederi oranınca kıymet biçen fizyonomi, denkler arasında birinci olarak kabul edilen -yaşamı bahşetmesi vesilesiyle- buruna daha büyük bir ehemmiyet vermiştir. Böylece burun karakteri ve yazgıyı belirlemede bayrak taşıyıcı hüviyete yükseltmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı burnun fizyonomi nezdinde ki, değerini ve ederini aktarabilmek ve devamında da tıp tarihi açısından burnun irdelenişini tespit edebilmektir. Sahih bir çalışma ortaya koyabilmek için ikincil kaynaklardan literatür taraması yapılmış ve devamında ise elde edilen verilerin analizine dayanılarak nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nihayetinde tarih boyunca evvel insandan günümüz topluluklarına kadar burun üzerine yapılan tıbbi teşhisler ve tedavilerin yanı sıra fizyonomi çalışmalarında buruna yüklenen mana tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. İncelemeler neticesinde tıbben dış burnun iç burna oranla daha karmaşık bir yapı olarak kabul edildiği ve sembolik olarak yüksek bir değere sahip olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Dahası bu değer farklı çağlarda ve toplumlarda aynı mana ederine denk gelmekle birlikte bu günün insanının zihninde güce ve karaktere yönelik de kıymetli veriler barındırmaktadır.

For people who want to understand and know everything throughout history, it is their own existence that they find the most complex in this journey of meaning and that keeps their curiosity fresh. As a matter of fact, the human being, who considers himself higher than others with his mind among the creatures, has also excelled every ability that belongs to him and has made an effort to understand the effect of this superiority on his creation and life. Moreover, every part of a person that enables him to hold on to life has also been his guide in his life journey. So much so that the shape and form of a limb, as well as being healthy and fulfilling its function, had great value both in individual life and in society. Along with the science of physiognomy that developed around this situation, man recognized his own race and shaped his future by shaping his bilateral relations. In addition, the development of physiognomy has been a determining factor in power and employment for today's people, starting from the historical process. For this purpose, physiognomy, which values each limb in proportion to its value, has given greater importance to the nose, as it bestows life, which is considered the first among peers. Thus, the nose was elevated to the status of a flag bearer in determining the character and destiny. The aim of the study is to convey the value of the nose in terms of physiognomy, and then to determine the examination of the nose in terms of the history of medicine. In order to present an authentic study, literature review was made from secondary sources, and then qualitative research method was used based on the analysis of the data obtained. At the end of the research, in addition to the medical diagnoses and treatments made on the nose from the first human to today's populations throughout history, it has been tried to determine the meaning loaded on the nose in physiognomy studies. As a result of the examinations, it has been understood that the outer nose has more complex structure and higher symbolic value than the inner nose. Moreover, although this value corresponds to the same meaning in different ages and societies, it also contains valuable data on power and character in the minds of today's people.
