Feminist epistemoloji perspektifinden foucaultcu bilgi ve iktidar

Abstract

Bu tezin problemi kadının bilgiye ulaşımı ve onu üretme ve yayma süreci ile olan ilişkinin nasıl şekillendiği sorusu etrafında şekillenmektedir. Bu bağlamında tezin iddiası da feminist epistemolojinin kadının bilgi ile ilişkisini analiz etmede yetersiz kaldığı ve Foucaultcu bir perspektiften yola çıkarak konunun bilgi ve iktidar ilişkisi çerçevesi içinde özne olmayla ilişkilendirilerek çözümlenebileceğidir. Bu çerçevede ilk bölümde Feminist metodoloji tarihsel olarak iktidarı; feminist epistemolojilerin ampirist ve duruş noktası teorilerinin yol göstericiliğiyle açıklama eğiliminde olmuştur. Fakat çalışmada bu yolun artık günümüz iktidar ilişkilerini açıklamada yetersiz olduğu savunulmaktadır. Çare olarak da Foucault’nun bilgi ve iktidar problemine karşın sunduğu yol haritası önerilmiştir. Böylelikle İkinci Bölüm ‘de Foucault’daki iktidarın tarihsel anlatısı ele alınmıştır. Fakat Foucault’nun bilgi ve iktidar problemine getirdiği analizler, bir başka sorunu ortaya koymuştur. Bu sorun, Aydınlanma düşüncesi ve onu takip eden rasyonalist yaklaşıma dayalı literatürün, kadını özne olarak temsil etmiyor oluşudur. Üçüncü Bölüm ’de ele alınan bu sorun, bir özne olarak kadının bilgi ve iktidar alanı içindeki varlığı bu döngü içerisinde tartışılmış ve bu problem Beauvoir’a giden yolu açmıştır. Beauvoir kadının varlığını felsefi zeminde tartışan ilk kadın filozof olmasından dolayı tezde üzerinde önemle durulmuştur. Kadının varlığının temsili nasıl mümkün olur problemi tartışılırken de Fransız feministlerin üzerinde yoğunlukla çalıştıkları dilin feminist özneyi nihai çözüme ulaştıracağına yönelik çalışmalarına gidilmiş ama dilin nihai sonuca ulaştırmadığı tespiti yapılmıştır. Böylelikle tekrar Foucault’dan yararlanılarak dilin üstünde yer alan diskur kavramına başvurulmuştur. Tezin sonunda kadının bilgi ile olan ilişkisi hem iktidar hem dil yapıları vasıtasıyla özne olmaktan geçtiği sonucuna varılmıştır.

The problem of this thesis is shaped around the question of how the relationship between women's access to information and the process of producing and disseminating it is shaped. In this context, the thesis claims that feminist epistemology is insufficient in analysing the relationship of women with knowledge, and starting from a Foucauldian perspective, the subject can be analysed by relating it to being a subject within the framework of knowledge and power. In this framework, in the first chapter, Feminist methodology has historically defined power; has tended to explain it with the guidance of empiricist and standpoint theories of feminist epistemologies. However, in the study, it is argued that this way is insufficient to explain today's power relations. As a solution, Foucault's roadmap has been proposed against the problem of knowledge and power. Thus, in the Second Chapter, the historical narrative of power in Foucault is discussed. But Foucault's analysis of the problem of knowledge and power revealed another problem. This problem is that the Enlightenment thought, and the literature based on the rationalist approach that followed it do not represent women as a subject. has opened the way. Since Beauvoir was the first woman philosopher to discuss the existence of women on a philosophical basis, it was emphasized in the thesis. While discussing the problem of how the representation of women's existence is possible, studies were conducted to show that the language, in which the French feminists worked intensively, would bring the feminist subject to the final solution, but it was determined that the language did not lead to the result. Thus, by making use of Foucault again, the concept of discourse on the language was applied. At the end of the thesis, it has been concluded that the relationship of women with knowledge has passed from being a subject through both power and language structures.
