Abstract: A new species of zerconid mites, Prozercon caspiansis sp. nov. is described based on female, male, and protonymph specimens collected from different forestland areas in Mazandaran Province, northern Iran. In addition, the male and larval specimens of P. dominiaki Blaszak were found in the same region and described for the first time. An updated key for the Iranian Prozercon species is provided, and the situation of the Iranian genera and species of the family is briefly discussed.
