Abstract: | BACKGROUND In this study, the transport of Cr (VI) ions was investigated with electroanalytical approach, called electro-membrane extraction (EME), by using a supported liquid membrane (SLM). RESULTS Aliquat 336 and Celgrad 2500 were used as a carrier and support material, respectively. Chromium (VI) ions were transferred from sample solution containing target analyte to extractant solution at low potential values (10-50 V) and with different current values (0.1-0.4 A). CONCLUSION The following parameters such as carrier change, carrier concentration effects, solvent change effect were investigated and Cr(VI) transport was achieved with 54.73% recovery in 100 min at optimum conditions. In the EME-SLM process, Danesi mass transfer model was used to calculate the kinetic data, rate constant, flux, permeability, and recovery, for each parameter examined.
