Hotels are tourism businesses that serve individuals or institutions for various purposes. Thanks to today’s economic activities and technological opportunities, the services offered by the hotels go beyond providing accommodation for business or touristic travelers. In today’s technology, these services are evaluated by customers on the internet. These evaluations may provide subjective information about the performance of a hotel regarding service delivery. One of the methods used for performance evaluation is Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) in literature. It is a nonparametric analysis for measuring and evaluating the relative efficiencies of a set of decision making units in terms of various inputs and outputs. In this study, the customers’ subjective evaluations are defined as plithogenic sets derived from plithogeny by Smarandache [1]. They are the generalization of neutrosophic sets and systems that consider uncertainty and inconsistency of information in the evaluation process. Subjective evaluations aggregated by plithogenic operators are utilized as data in DEA to determine the performance of each hotel. The performances are compared and interpreted. © 2021, The Editor(s) (if applicable) and The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.en_US
