Abstract: This paper proposes a new lossless floating frequency-dependent negative resistor (FDNR). The proposed floating FDNR circuit is designed with two dual output second-generation current conveyors (DO-CCIIs) and a minimum number of passive elements. The first DO-CCII behaves like a minus-type second-generation current conveyor, while the other is modified DO-CCII. The proposed floating FDNR does not require any passive element matching conditions, but all the passive elements are floating. The simulations are made through the SPICE program. A second-order high-pass filter (HPF) is given as an application example. In addition, some experimental results are included for the second-order HPF in which AD844s are utilized. © 2023 World Scientific Publishing Company.
