Various opinions have been put forward in the Turkish language researches until the day-to-day on the root of the genitive and its functions have been revealed. The genitive suffix that we were talking about was here, it has undergone little change in the historical development process but has also identified as {+ nI} at the Chagatai Turkish in addition to its usual forms. It have also been put forward different ideas on the subject, but nothing has been said for sure.We will also put forth a new outlook on this root of genitive {+nI} in addition to those mentioned so far, and try to bring a different perspective to the work on this subject. © 2018 Hacettepe University 1.
