Abstract: In Turkey, the history of the art of western style painting and starues does not tell from very past. As it is in the history, sometimes the importance of art is not realized in e country for e long time. After centuries, too much time and effort is spend to reach the level of understanding of modem art in the current century. The artists, known as group D were introdvcing constructrvistic approoch which appered against western empresionism through country. In those times, all art related work were directly inflaveneced by western artists. But D group artists, were the founders in understanding western art approoches and determining the problems, appeorent in our pointing and starve. The media and the crities were negative but were not enough to stop Group D artists studies. They became the founders of their apprach which money young artists follow. The inportance of the artist in group D, in our Turkish art colture is mainly the recalutionistic apprach aiminig to have new and national pointig anr starve trend. Most of the artists in group D had been in French an had chanes to have lectures from those famous artistis, all of which are revalutionist. Young artists were applying what they learn from those artists but then a kind of regional plastic approach were developed in western plastics: Marcel Gromarie, Femond Leper, Andre Lhote, Othan Friesz, Morce Gimond. Zeki Faik 1ZER: İn his frst painttings main observable characteristic were his dynamic brisk lines, lyrical and aktive colours which gives many scenes are dispersing on picture. In his final paintings were ones of best examples of abstract painting... NuruUah BERK: In his frst exhibition abstarction and cubism were dominant characteristics. In later exhibitions geometric lines became his style. Canal TOLLU: No-Detailed, monumental design is succeded by using sondy and yellow figures He is afferted from art of Hittite pointing Elif NACİ: First, he drew lifes inside house and then used old Turkish writting in his pointings.Abidin DİNO: His lines were dominant in his initial paintings, -iic; his thich defennming lines without shadows. The effects of Picasso aro Co Cteav are then replaced whit Analotian people figures which workers wearing Analition caps. Zühdü MÛRİDO?LU: In his bronze status, the clay effects are kept in the issvents. Bedri Rahmi EYUBOGLÜ: Carpets, kilims, tiles writings, caligraphics, some miniatures and ceramics are his pefences in his paintings. Turgut ZAİM: His steyle is not from western but Analition style. His paintings are the good examples of regional Art. Sabri BERKER: A trup to Italy gave him imperession on his paintings before 1950. He changed his style after 1950. Eren EYÜBOGLU: Anatolion lifeb, people, clothes are the objects in his paintings. Haul DİKMEN: Except sone abstarct paintings, he obeyed Ronesance Art ruleb. Eşref ÜREN: He used natural colours in his paintings which can be affeted from. Emprsionism. Arif KAPTAN, Hakkı ANLI: Both artists pirst perfend natural scenes and then abstract figures became their main characteristics.
