Liselerde sınav performansı ve belirleyicileri Denizli'de bir uygulama

Abstract

Bu çalışma, liselerden mezun olan öğrencilerin akademik başarılarını etkileyen faktörleri ve bu etkilerin düzeylerini saptamaktır. Liselerden mezun olan neredeyse bütün öğrenciler YGS?ye girmekte ve başarılı olmak için aileleri ve eğitim kurumlarıyla birlikte büyük bir çaba göstermektedir. Bilimsel çalışmalarda bu sınavdan alınan puanlar, öğrencilerin o zamana kadar öğrenmiş oldukları bilgileri temsil eden önemli bir performans göstergesi olarak kabul edilirken, öğrencilerin aileleri, okulları, öğretmenleri ve içinde bulundukları çevresel faktörlerdeki farklılıklar da bu başarılarının belirleyicileri olarak kabul edilmektedir.Bu çalışma için 2011-2012 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında Denizli de YGS?ye sayısal ağırlıklı hazırlanan bütün öğrenciler hedeflenerek verileri topalanabilen öğrenciler bazalındı. YGS de almış olduğu puanlar performans göstergesi olarak kabul edildi. Sosyo-ekonomik, çevresel ve eğitim ile ilgili faktörlerin bu performansı etkileyip etkilemediği, hangi yönde etkilediği belirlendi. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre dershaneye devam, çekirdek aileye mensup olma, ailenin geliri ve okulun bir önceki yıldaki puanı başarıyı olumlu etkilerken raporlu olunan gün sayısı olumsuz olarak etkilemiştir.

The primary purpose of this study is to determine the factors that affect the academic success levels of the students graduating from high-schools, and the levels of these effects. Almost all the graduates of high-school sit for the YGS exam, making a lot of effort to achieve a success in it along with their families and training institutions. The scores taken from these exams are accepted as a significant indicator of the performance that represents the knowledge obtained by the students by then, while the students? families, schools, teachers and environments are accepted as important determinants of their achievements.This study is centered round all the students who prepared for the YGS in numerical field in Denizli in 2012. The students whose data were gathered were taken as central and their scores in YGS were accepted as indicators of performance. It was also determined whether socio-economic, environmental and educational factors affect this performance and how they affect it. According to the results obtained, attendance to the private training institutions, affiliation to the nuclear family, family?s income and the school?s score of the previous year affect the score positively, while the number of the days when one is on sick leave affects it negatively.
