ISO 14001 Çevre Yönetim Sistemi ve bir işletmede uygulama örneği

Abstract

İnsan ihtiyaçlarının gün geçtikçe çoğalması, üretim ve tüketim alışkanlıklarının sürekli artması, doğal kaynaklara verilen tahribatın büyümesine neden olmaktadır. Çevresel tahribatın ve kirliliğin artması, tüm dünyada yaygın hale gelmektedir. Çevresel sorunların artması toplumu etkilemektedir. Çevre ve toplum bir bütün olduğundan üretim aşamasında bu iki değere de önem verilmesi gerekmektedir. Ürünün çevreye en az etki bırakacak şekilde üretilmesine özen gösterilmesi gerekmektedir.Gelişmiş pazarlarda müşteriler artık bir ürüne talip olurken çevresel değerlendirmesini de yapmaktadır. Küreselleşen dünyada sadece iyi mal üretmek, mal ve hizmeti ucuza sunmak, müşteriler için yeterli olmamaktadır. Firmalardan beklentiler her geçen gün artmaktadır. Müşteriler malı satın almadan önce; malın üretiminde kullanılan malzemelerin çevreye zarar vermeden, insan sağlığını tehdit etmeden üretilip üretilmediğine önem vermektedir. Firmalar sosyal sorumluluklarını yerine getirerek, ÇYS?lerini uygulayarak bu yöndeki eksikliklerini tamamlamaktadırlar.Türkiye?de ve dünyada ÇYS uygulamakta olan firma sayısı oldukça fazladır. Çevreye verilen değer gün geçtikçe artmaktadır. Çevresel etkileri yönetebilmek için ÇY kavramı oluşmuştur. Çevre yönetimiyle dünyada tüm canlıların sağlıklı bir şekilde yaşamasının sağlanması, gelecek nesillere temiz, yaşanabilir bir ortam bırakılması, doğal kaynakların korunması ve ekonomik kalkınmanın sağlanması amaçlanmaktadır.Çalışmaya; çevre, ÇY ve ÇYS hakkında bilgi verilerek başlanmıştır. Tamamen çevreye verdiği önem doğrultusunda, ilk olarak 1992 yılında atıksuarıtma tesisini kurarak çevresel faaliyetlerine başlayan ER?BAKIR Elektrolitik Bakır Mamulleri A.Ş?de ISO 14001 ÇYS belgelendirme süreci anlatılmaktadır.ER?BAKIR?da çevresel etkiler değerlendirilerek, atıkların uygun şekilde bertarafının sağlanması için ÇYS kapsamında süreçler, prosedürler oluşturulması ve uygulamada karşılaşılan zorluklarla ÇYS?nin sağladığı faydalar anlatılmaktadır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Çevre, Çevre Yönetimi, Çevre Yönetim Sistemleri, ISO 14001

The proliferation of human needs every day, constantly increasing production and consumption patterns lead to an increase in the destruction of natural resources. Environmental degradation and pollution are becoming increasingly popular all over the world. The growth in the environmental problems affects society. Because environment and society cannot be separated from each other, both of them should be taken into consideration in the production stage. During the production, the product should leave the least impact on the environment.In developed markets, customers now consider the environmental assessment of the product. In our globalized world, to produce good products and to provide cheap goods and services are not enough for the customers. Expectations from the firms are increasing every day. Before buying product, customers think about the materials used in the manufacturing of the goods. These materials shouldn?t be harmful for both human health and the environment. By fulfilling their social responsibilities and EMS, companies complete their deficiencies in this respect.Both in Turkey and in the world, the number of the companies implementing the EMS are very high. The importance of the environment is increasing day by day. The concept of EM in order to manage the environmental impact has occurred. The aims of the EM are to enable a healthy environment for all living beings in the world, to ensure a clean and livable environment for the next generations, to protect natural resources and the growth of economic development.At the beginning of this study, the information about the environment, EMand EMS are given. Considering the environment, at ER-BAKIR Electrolytic Copper Products Inc., which started its activities by establishing the first wastewater treatment plant in 1992, ISO 14001 EMS certification is described. Evaluating the environmental impacts, at ER-BAKIR the process of the EMS, the difficulties encountered during the implementation of the process and the EMS are described for the disposal of the waste materials.Keywords: Environment, Environmental Management, Environmental Management System, ISO 14001
