Laodikeia Antik Kenti tıbbi alet buluntuları ve günümüz tıbbi aletleri ile kıyaslanmaları

Abstract

Çalışmamızın amacı, Antik dönemin en önemli kentlerinden olan Laodikeia Antik Kenti'nde ele geçen cerrahi aletlerin incelenerek, bunların çeşitliliği de göz önüne alınarak bu kentte bir tıp okulu olduğu fikrine yardımcı olmaktır. Ayrıca antik dönemden günümüze kadar tıp aletlerinin gelişimini incelemek de amaçlanmıştır.Bu amaçla, Laodikeia Antik Kenti'nde yapılan kazılarda 2005-2010 yılları arasında ele geçen cerrahi aletlerden envanterlik ve etütlük eserler ayrılmış ve çalışmaya dahil edilmiştir. Bu aletler kullanım amaçlarına göre sınıflandırılmış, çeşitli kaynaklardan aletlerin gelişimi ve materyalleri incelenmiş ve son olarak da aletler günümüzdeki benzerleri ile kıyaslanmıştır.Bölgede en fazla ele geçen alet grubu sondalar olarak saptanmıştır. Sondalar hem muayene aleti hem de cerrahi uygulamalar için kullanılmıştır. Penset de sık kullanılan aletlerdendir. Materyal olarak bronz sık kullanılmıştır.Sonuç olarak aletlerin çeşitliliği bölgede bir tıp okulunun varlığını destekler niteliktedir, ancak bir okulun yeri lokalize edilemediği için bu konuda daha fazla veriye ve zamana ihtiyaç olduğu düşünülmüştür.Aletlerin bir kısmı günümüzde hala kullanılırken, bir kısmının ortadan kalktığı görülmüştür. Antik dönemde aletler daha çok cerrahın yardımcısı iken, günümüzde daha çok teknolojinin ön plana çıktığı söylenebilir.

The aim of our study, to investigate the surgical instruments that found in excavations and to understand if there is a medical school in Laodikeia which is the one of the most important city of antique ages or not, according to the diversity of this instruments. And the other aim of this study is to understand the development of the surgical instruments from antique ages to now.For this aim, the surgical instruments that found in excavation in the years between 2005-2010 in Laodikeia was included the study. This instruments were clasified by their usage, their development and their materials were explored, and lastly they compared with similar surgical instruments using today.The most common surgical instruments are catheters according to our researchs. catheter?s used for two different purposes as an examination equipment and for surgury. Also forceps is the other instrument that used frequently. Bronze is the material that used often in these surgical instruments.As a conclusion, the diversity of the surgical instruments supports the existance of the medical school in this region, but since we cannot localize the area, we decided that we need more time and information for this matter.It?s seen that some of the surgical instruments still be in use today but some of them are removed. It?s also seen that in ancient times these instruments were helping to the surgeon but today the technology stands out.
