Tumor necrosis factors (TNFs) are glycoproteins with a molecular weight of 17-25 kd, produced by numerous immune cells. The tumor necrosis factor superfamily (TNFSF) is a cytokine group consisting of 29 receptors and 19 ligands. TNFSF has important roles in innate immunity, cell regulation, cell differentiation, and apoptosis processes, and ensures the destruction of cancerous cells. TNF blockers have been accepted for human use in the treatment of TNF-dependent inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Receptor ligation downstream pathways provide critical points of intersection for planning new therapeutic strategies. © 2023 Nova Science Publishers, Inc. All rights reserved.en_US
