Title: The impacts of lavender gardens on rural tourism

Abstract: In this study, the impacts of lavender gardens in terms of rural tourism were examined. For this purpose, data was collected by interview form in Gozler Neighborhood of Pamukkale district of Denizli province. When the data were analyzed, the economic, environmental, and socio-cultural effects of lavender gardens were determined. It has been determined that lavender gardens support rural development by increasing the number of products, entrepreneurship, job opportunities, investment, and quality of life. Social relations have increased in the region, leisure and tourism awareness has been created, and loyalty, participation, and solidarity have increased. The importance of natural resources has been understood, ecological awareness has been created, environmental protection and environmental awareness have increased, the importance of lavender in agricultural areas has increased, and the importance of a sustainable environment has emerged. © 2023, IGI Global.
