Abstract: The solid-phase extraction procedure based on the adsorption of metal ions on chromotrope 2R-coated amberlite XAD-1180 was adopted for the determination of copper, iron and lead ions in natural waters. The matrix components of the natural water samples were not influenced by the recoveries of the analyte ions. Relative standard deviations were below 10%. The procedure was applied for the determination of analyte ions in drinking, sea and thermal spring water samples from various sites of Turkey.
