Abstract: This thesis aims to analyse the relationship between tourism and regional planning, the tourism potential of the administrative and cultural region of Crimea (Ukraine) is analysed on the basis of the integrated tourism strategy approach. Integrated tourism approach can be defined as integrating destination management and planning with regional development objectives. Integrated tourism can be considered as an up-to-date and alternative development approach for realising sustainable tourism objectives. The historical, cultural and geographical priorities of Crimea make this region a suitable area for exemplifying integrated tourism strategies. Effective implementation of integrated tourism strategies on the Crimean peninsula requires the integration of various types of tourism and coordination between tourism planners and stakeholders. The success of a new tourism strategy for Crimea depends on the strategic choice of investments in human and social capital in tourism and the effective management of resources in this area.
