Rummânî ve Me'âni'l-hurûf adlı eserinin Arap dilindeki yeri

Abstract

Arap dilinde mânâ harfleri anlamına gelen hurûfu'l-me'ânî türü eserler, hicri IV. asrın ortalarından itibaren Zeccâcî ile çığır açmış, küçük ve müstakil risaleler şeklinde telif edilmeye başlanmıştır. Bu tür eserler, mânâ harflerini ele alarak lafız, mânâ ve hüküm bakımından cümledeki inceliklerini ortaya koymayı hedeflemiştir. Rummânî, yaşadığı H IV. asrın önde gelen dil, nahiv ve edebiyat âlimleri arasında sayılan, önemli bir Mu'tezile kelamcısıdır. Rummânî, hurûfu'l-me'ânîye dair yazdığı müstakil eseri Me'âni'l-hurûf'da bir kısım mânâ harflerine yer vermiş ve bu harfleri cümle örnekleri, âyet-i kerîme, hadîs-i şerîf, şiir ve dildeki kullanımlarla pekiştirmiştir. Eserinde harfleri dört ana bölümde ele almıştır. Bunların yanı sıra harflerle doğrudan veya dolaylı ilgisi olan başlıklara da yer vermiştir. Me'âni'l-hurûf, hurûfu'l-me'ânî alanında yazılan ilk eserlerden olması ve belâgate dair izler taşıması sebebiyle önemli bir eser haline gelmiştir. Rummânî'nin hayatı, Arap gramerinde harf ve Me'âni'l-hurûf'un tahlil edildiği bu çalışma giriş, üç bölüm ve sonuçtan oluşmaktadır. Girişte bu çalışmanın konusu, amacı, kapsamı, yöntemi ve kaynakları ele alınmıştır. Birinci bölümde de müellifin hayatı, yaşadığı dönemin genel özellikleri, hocaları, çağdaşları, öğrencileri ve eserleri incelenmiştir. İkinci bölümde Arap gramerinde harfler ve me'âni'l-hurûf türü eserlere yer verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise eserin genel tanıtımının ardından eserde takip edilen metotlar, sunum üslûbu, eserin hazırlanmasında esas alınan istişhâdlar, kendisinden önceki hurûfu'l-me'ânî türü eserlerle karşılaştırılması ve Rummânî'nin Me'âni'l-hurûf adlı eserindeki orijinal tespit ve görüşleri ele alınarak eserin Arap dili açısından bir değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır.

The works in the genre of hurūf al-ma'ānī, which means the letters of meaning in the Arabic language, made a breakthrough with al-Zajjājī in the middle of the IVth century and began to be written in the form of small and independent treatises. These works aimed to reveal the subtleties of the sentence in terms of wording, meaning and judgment by dealing with the letters of meaning. Rummānī was an important Mu'tazilite theologian who is considered among the leading language, grammar and literature scholars of the IVth century. In his independent work Ma'ānī al-hurūf, which he wrote as a diary for hurūf al-ma'ānî, Rummânî included some letters of meaning and reinforced these word-sentence examples with verses, hadîths, poems, and uses in language. He dealt with four main sections in his work. In addition to these, he also included headings directly or related to letters. Ma'ānī al-hurūf has become an important work because it is one of the first works written in the field of hurūf al-ma'ānî and because it has eloquence. This study, which analyzes Rummānī's life, letters in Arabic grammar and Ma'ānī al-hurūf, consists of an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. In the introduction, the subject, purpose, scope, method and sources of this study are discussed. In the first chapter, the author's life, the general characteristics of the period in which he lived, his teachers, contemporaries, students and his works are analyzed. In the second chapter, the letters in Arabic grammar and the works in the genre of hurūf al-ma'ânī are included. In the third part, after the general introduction of the work, the methods followed in the work, the style of presentation, the istishhāds as taken as basis in the preparation of the work, the comparison with the previous works of the genre of hurūf al- ma'ānī, and Rummānī's original determinations and opinions in his work Ma'ānī al-hurūf were discussed and an evaluation of the work in terms of Arabic language was made.
