dc.description.abstract | In order to be effective, traffic engineering analysis must take account not only of the longitudinal movements of traffic, but also the lateral movements. This is particularly true in modelling. The purpose of this paper is to provide a systematic review of the lateral characteristics of traffic flow in order to create a reference report for traffic analysts. The discussion of the longitudinal characteristics is left for a separate publication. | en_US |
