Tourism is one of the sectors most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic that emerged in the People’s Republic of China. International travel bans restricted tourists from traveling. Therefore, the tourism industry has come to a standstill. The normalization movement that started in June 2020 has revived tourism, albeit a little. However, with the transition of the northern hemisphere to the winter season, cases have increased again all over the world in October and November. For this reason, the tourism industry must take necessary caution and continue its activities with the pandemic. Based on these points, the purpose of this study is to offer strategies for the recovery of the tourism industry in the new normal era after the COVID-19 pandemic. The study also provides advice to accommodation facilities, transportation facilities, tour operators and travel agents, governments, and provides predictions about how tourist behavior will change. © 2024 by Apple Academic Press, Inc.en_US
