dc.description.abstractThis bibliometric analysis was conducted to provide a comprehensive overview of the development of virtual reality in nursing, and to identify the research trends and hot topics in this field. Data were collected from the Web of Science Core Collection database in May and June 2022, and analyses were performed using CiteSpace 6.1.R2. A total of 885 studies on virtual reality were included in the bibliometric analysis; 3570 authors from 1283 institutions and 60 countries contributed, and the studies were published in 356 different journals. It will be important for researchers and health professionals to determine the research trends, current issues, and research gaps on virtual reality in nursing.en_US
