Abstract: The result of 22 patients having bladder stones those were treated by ESWL in the Pamukkale University School of Medicine were evaluated retrospectively. The success and retreatment rates were directly proportional with the size of the bladder stones. The overall success rate was 95.45%. We concluded that as for the upper urinary stones ESWL must be considered as the first line therapy for the bladder stones in selected cases for its efficacy, safety and non-invasive nature.
