Abstract: As an outcome of growing environmental awareness and the concern to create a sustainable future in recent years, it is aimed to provide a sustainable composite production by reducing the environmental impact in the production of composite structures, as in every stage of life. The concept of biocomposite, which emerged as a result of these environmental concepts, constitutes an ecological alternative to traditional composites. Life cycle analysis is a tool used to evaluate the environmental impact of a product over its entire life cycle. In this study, the life cycle of biocomposite structures and their impact on the environment are summarized by compiling studies on biocomposite structures and life cycle analyzes of these structures in the literature. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd.
